Summary: Way too preachy
Comment: I checked out the book from the library (glad I didn't waste money on this book). She is way too preachy and opinions on somethings (meat) are over the top and also dangerous (nuts). My older daughter is allergic to peanuts and I wouldn't think of starting my 6 month old on nut butters as she thinks is just fine. I'm glad that I'm not a stupid person to take everthing she says to heart. Take with a grain of salt or find out how to make baby food with another book. I hope other books are better than this one.

Summary: Terribly written, but veggie cooking tips helpful
Comment: This book is absolutely painful to read and needs a good editor, but I would buy it again just for the section at the back on preparing and freezing different types of fruits and vegetables. There were foods that I knew might be good for my baby, but I wasn't sure which form of cooking would be best. If you plan to feed your baby animal protein, don't rely on this book for help or recipes in that area.

The author's holier-than-thou attitude is incredibly irritating, and I find her to be a bit on the bizarre side. For example, she details precisely how to clean broken glass off a kitchen floor, noting that her final step is to walk on it barefoot to see if any fragments remain. Hmmm.... That said, I still think the cooking info and SOME of the info about when to introduce certain veggies and fruits makes the book worth buying (used if you can).

Summary: It is a great book but a lot of information
Comment: I really like this book. She breaks down month by month what is safe to feed your baby and why. She gives great hints as to how to store and make baby food and what brands to buy if you can't make it. Sometimes the information is a bit overwhelming but if you take it one chapter at a time and pick and choose what you need, it is a great resource.

Summary: A SUPER BOOK!
Comment: This book contains tons of helpful and informative info on feeding solids to your baby. I have just started my little girl on solids and she is loving it! On my lunch breaks mostly have I read this book. When I got it, I thought it would be impossible to read all of this, but it has turned out to be a very easy to read and thorough guide. I am not a picky eater and probably eat too much take out, but I do still believe that you are what you eat and it's very important to me to instil that into my daughter. So far she is loving her mashed avocados and sweet potatoes. I am very much forward to the day when she asks me for a before bedtime snack of grapes instead of american cheese and this book is one huge step in that direction!
