New in the “addicting” New York Times bestselling series featuring Sookie Stackhouse.
After the natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina and the manmade explosion at the vampire summit, everyone—human and otherwise—is stressed, including Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse, who is trying to cope with the fact that her boyfriend Quinn has gone missing.
It’s clear that things are changing—whether the weres and vamps of her corner of Louisiana like it or not. And Sookie—Friend to the Pack and blood-bonded to Eric Northman, leader of the local vampire community—is caught up in the changes.
In the ensuing battles, Sookie faces danger, death, and once more, betrayal by someone she loves. And when the fur has finished flying and the cold blood finished flowing, her world will be forever altered.

Customer Rating: Summary: I'm glad the series is not over! Comment: I too expected some crazy mystery to happen but it was a great read. I too read this one in one day but all it leaves you is wanting more. Harris has left the story/plots in this book open to more mysteries in this series. I am mostly excited about that. I would be quite sad if the Sookie novels ended. All to say you have to draw your own opinion, I did not put this one down. My mood during my reading of this was sad mostly because I know the next installment doesn't come out until May of this year. However if you go online to her website you can actually get a peek at the first chapter of her next book due in May. Surely what she reveals in this chapter will restore your hope in this next one! (that was for the ones that thought it deserved 3 or less stars.)
Customer Rating: Summary: From Dead to Worse Comment: I bought my daughter a lot of books for Christmas. She is 20 years old and loves these books!
Customer Rating: Summary: decent, but.... Comment: The complexity in which Charlaine Harris's books had seem to be lacking in "From Dead To Worse." Althought, it's 300-something pages, it seemed a bit light. However, I was happy about the end of the story when a new character was introduced. I'm sure Mrs. Harris will have a great time conjuring more complex storylines for this younger character.
Other than that, I can't complain about the book and can't wait for the next one.
Customer Rating: Summary: From Dead to Worse Comment: I love this series, but this was my least favorite so far. I am holding out for the new one..
Customer Rating: Summary: Who's Dead Comment: FROM DEAD TO WORSE is my first Sookie Stackhouse paranormal mystery, but it won't be my last.
What fun! A great read, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
