With so many different types of toxins present in a home’s water, many families have turned to water filters to heighten the quality of their indoor water. Although the water that is received inside homes is “filtered”, they still contain contaminants and toxins that can be hazardous to a family’s health. Water filters have different specialties. Some of them specialize in removing impurities such as lead and heavy metals while some water filters concentrate solely on filtering for a great taste. The water that is used in a home, even which is used in the shower or toilet, is re-used after it is filtered and treated by the city. However, this treatment and filtration system is not able to remove all of the impurities present in the reusable water. The water tested and released from the treatment plant is sure to meet the standards set for “clean” water, however, the taste of the water may be a different story for those who want to drink it.
